Your first visit… Trinity is located on the Main Street in Huntsville, a quaint town in Muskoka’s cottage country. You will be drawn to the front doors of the church at the corner, a welcoming entrance. There is also a side entrance where many come into the church. Entering this way you will find fewer stairs, the washrooms close by, the offices of the church and the stairs leading down to the Sunday School area. There is a ramped sidewalk at this entrance and handicap-accessible lifts inside that can take you to the Sanctuary level. Whichever way you chose, you will find warmth and we hope, feel welcome.
At both entrances, Greeters, who are members of our congregation, will be present to say hello and give you the church Sunday Bulletin. It will guide you through our service and also tell you what is going on in the church throughout the week and in the immediate future. You will see that we are an active church and an integral part of community life in this area.
Our service starts at 10 am and is traditional most Sundays and dress is casual. There will be a buzz of conversation and as the organ begins or the piano keys are heard, the choir will enter with our Minister and the atmosphere will quiet in readiness for worship.
The service will offer prayers, Bible readings, songs of praise and hymns. A few minutes into the service the children will gather at the front of the church for a brief moment with our Minister and then head downstairs with our Sunday School leaders for their own activities. You will enjoy the message from our Minister, Derek, as his talents shine through. He offers humour and food for thought.
At the end of the service everyone is invited to Trinity Hall for coffee and conversation. This hall is located through the doors at the front of the church.
If you are visiting, we hope that you find the spiritual nourishment that you seek. If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to come back. Please ask us for our ‘Welcome Package’ and feel free to take the brochure about our church. Don’t forget to sign our guest book located in the Narthex at the back of the church sanctuary.
Whatever your reasons for visiting, we are glad you came.
